Kid projects

So I don't claim to be a very creative artsy person. I like a good project but I know my limitations. I get anxiety attacks each time I go to a craft store. I like a craft "recipe" telling me all the supplies I need, how much, what colors, etc. I do well with a little push start.

Here are a couple items I made recently for the boys. One, Chet and I liked the idea of the boys having place mats now that they are sitting at the dining room table for meals. I saw some very cute options online but then I thought about how fun it would be to make. Here are my first two. I plan on making some more for fall & Christmas soon!

Another thing I made recently were some photo albums for the boys. I wanted them to have something with pictures of family, friends, favorite things, etc that they could "read." Since they are all about books right now and having Mom and Dad read to them and talk about pictures I knew this would be a hit!

Next, I needed some name tags for the boys' diaper bag & back pack. I would go to church or a play date and realize all my friends have cute tags displaying their child's name. I decided to make some of my own! I found some fun stickers on sale at Target, printed out their names in a fun color that coordinated and slide them into a plastic sleeve. Voila!
