My new discovery!

So like many mom of toddlers (or children at all, for that matter) are always trying different ways to get their kids to eat healthy, nutritious foods. As much as they like chicken nuggets, pretzels, and bananas there has go to be more variety in their diet. I am dedicating this post to Jessica Seinfeld (my new BFF...although she doesn't know me at all). I have discovered the "Delicious" cookbooks! Deceptively Delicious was the first one I discovered (I got it for my sis-in-law, Katie, for Christmas for her to use with her new son, Bo, in the near future). I didn't know how much I would benefit from it!

She finds ways to sneak fruits and veggies (pureed) into normal foods so the kids will get the fruits and veggies without realizing. (I do think there is a time when they should try the raw fruits and veggies plain but for this stage of life when I just want them to just eat something other than chicken I am perfectly fine with sneaking it in. :) So, I borrowed a copy from the local library and tried out a few recipes. The boys gobbled up everything I made from this cookbook!!! Turkey burgers w Cauliflower, Blueberry Oatmeal Bars w Spinach, Mac n Cheese w Carrots, and the most recent, Banana Bread w Cauliflower!!!

Then the other day I found her other cook book Double Delicious. This one is amazing as well! It has several recipes that I can't wait to try out.

She also has a blog, Do It Delicious, that I will be checking out regularly. Lots of great ideas and info about her cookbooks, recipes, and links to other great food blogs.

Now here is a picture of me with my favorite sous chef:

Landon loved being in the kitchen with me! He wants to stir everything and taste as much as he can.
